WSU beat Stanford on Saturday, but that was really just the appetizer to the main course: The Cougs will take on Arizona in Tucson on Thursday for a share of the Pac-12 lead — and control of their own destiny down the stretch for the final Pac-12 regular season crown.

The Cougars already own a victory over the Wildcats this season, a 73-70 affair in Pullman. But now they have to travel to the most hostile venue in the conference.

It won’t be easy. But nothing worth having ever is. Can WSU pull off another upset win?

Let’s talk about how it might happen:

Topics of discussion

  • Men’s basketball: Recapping the win over Stanford, then breaking down the keys to a regular season sweep against Arizona. Limiting turnovers will be absolutely key.

  • Beer: Jeff — The Abyss (Deschutes); Craig — Forest King (Structures).

  • Women’s basketball: After starting the weekend with a sizeable loss to Arizona, the Cougs rebounded with a beatdown of Arizona State. It was a huge relief for a team that was on a five-game losing streak.
