The Cougars turned in a comfortable win over the Rainbow Warriors on Saturday for homecoming, improving to 6-1. John Mateer looked fantastic as the offense as a whole took a step forward, and the defense generated a bunch of turnovers. All in all, it was a welcome, largely stress-free experience against a team that they should do that to. 

We start the podcast off with breaking it down before turning our attention to San Diego State, which presents a bit of a different challenge.

  • Beating up on Hawai’i: The offense was great, and we were happy with the play calling. We’re still a little worried about the defense, though. Too many yards.

  • Previewing SDSU: The Aztecs run the ball a ton, and they’re unlikely to give it away in the fashion that Fresno State and Hawai’i did. How will that impact the eventual outcome? Plus, predictions!

  • Beer: Jeff — Out West Fresh Coast IPA (Sig); Craig — Electric Fields Centennial (Threshold).

  • Football schedule: WSU is up to 10 games for 2025, and that now includes … two games against Oregon State. Is it that bad?

  • Soccer: NCAA tournament hopes are probably gone now.

  • Volleyball: NCAA tournament hopes are very much alive!
