Gameday Guide: No. 18 WSU at New Mexico
Is it a trap?
In today's newsletter ...
Should we be scared of the Lobos?
The Cougars sit at 8-1 and have three games left to make their final case for inclusion the College Football Playoff. New Mexico is a bad team, and yet somehow, this feels like a dangerous game.
That’s probably because of two factors. One is that the Cougs just haven’t played as well away from home; they’ve already played closer-than-expected contests at Fresno State and San Diego State. The other is that New Mexico has shown itself to be dangerous on offense, topping 45 points four times in a five-game span. none of the teams they played while doing that are as good as WSU, but still — it does give you pause.
